Dark Chocolate Mint M&M's Review

I've never had a chance to try these Dark Mint M&M's before so I was very happy when Monster Sweets sent me a pack recently along with the Peanut Butter M&M's I reviewed here.

Monster Sweets are a company specializing in American and European snacks for cheap prices and postage, I highly recommend them for hard-to find-snacks!

These M&M's contain mint flavoured dark chocolate centres. The shells come in slightly varying shades of green, which I think look really cool!


Taste-wise they made me think of Nestlé After Eights in crunchy form. The dark chocolate tasted rich and minty, whilst the crunchy shells provided a nice contrast in texture. They were rather addictive and I couldn't help but gobble most of the bag up pretty quickly!

Overall, a great M&M's flavour which I would love to see more widely available. Until Mars UK decide to give us consumers what we want these M&M's are thankfully available from companies like Monster Sweets! Check out their range here: http://www.monstersweets.co.uk/

Cadbury Dream Ice Creams - back for Summer! (UK)

If you've sorely missed Cadbury Dream White Chocolate since it was withdrawn from UK shelves many years ago, fear not, it's going to be back for Summer, albeit in a colder form - yes, ice cream! Dream Ice Creams have been in shops sporadically for several years now (including a Strawberry variety that was exclusive to Farmfoods) but finally they're getting an official release just for the Summer, yay! It will be sold in major supermarkets in packs of three, and impulse sticks will cost £1.80 from convenience stores. Maybe Cadbury are testing the waters to see how popular they are...who knows, maybe the proper Cadbury Dream bar may be resurrected if sales are good! You can already find Cadbury Dream ice creams in Fultons Foods , a Northern based frozen food store if you're lucky enough to live near one (there's a store finder in the link above). Asda Tinned Banana Blossom Review

Recently, I spotted a totally new vegetable/fruit (not sure which it actually is!) in Asda called Banana Blossom in a tin. It was next to the tins of Jackfruit which is a well known vegan meat alternative. I assumed it was a similar thing so happily bought some to try - it’s £1.50 a tin. The image on the wrapper looked innocent enough - battered fish pieces, only vegan! Surely this stuff must be good? Turns out that packaging was very misleading because nothing could prepare me for the horror that was lurking inside...when I opened the tin it was like opening something from a horror film, discovering the mouldy body of an ancient alien creature or other such evil. It looked hideous!! “Surely this is not meant for human consumption?!”, I thought. Heck it’s not even suitable for bird consumption....I think flies would even turn their nose up at this thing, which looked like rotten infested seaweed.
